The AFC is an industry advisory panel for representatives of US commercial aviation to coordinate membership action on VHF, HF, and other aeronautical spectrum. Established since 1949, the committee enables its membership to promote and protect all commercial aviation spectrum that is essential to safe and effective air travel.
